Dawn and Tim 4ever : a found poem

YouTube users respond to Dawn and Tim’s kiss in the Christmas finale of The Office (2003), which is soundtracked by Yazoo’s ‘Only You’. 

Their very names when put together sound perfect. Dawn came back. The bleakness, the realism, the subtlety etc. Merely by the way she takes and holds his hand. When Dawn and Tim kisses I cry almost every time I see it. I felt like I was actually there, the moment he puts his hand on her face. The playing of the music – Yazoo’s ‘Only You’ in the background, to Dawn kissing Tim, then they walked off and u felt the butterfly swarms in their bodies. The dull setting; the almost monochrome music by Yazoo. Song for my first dance at my wedding, just because of this scene. What a privilege to witness such perfection, their payoff hits hard – I've made a 7 minutes 23 seconds edit. Dawn and Tim find each other, what a moving Christmas. I’m an American and I still watch this show to this day, my heart is beatin’ so fast. The desperation, the loneliness and the grim English world. If only I could find a Dawn. Who’s still watching, Xmas 2021?
